You do not need a lot of toys to keep a toddler happy. A few simple ideas can turn any afternoon into a learning adventure.
1. Stack and knock down
Blocks and stacking rings teach balance and hand-eye coordination. Let your child build, then enjoy the fun of knocking it all down.
2. Sorting by colour
Ask your little one to sort toys into red, blue and yellow piles. It builds early maths and vocabulary.
3. Treasure hunt
Hide a soft toy and give simple clues like look near something soft. It builds listening and problem solving.
4. Music time
Pots, spoons and a little singing are enough for a mini band.
5. Story play
Use toys to act out a story. Imagination grows when children get to be the storyteller.
